August 23, 2024 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently returned to our favorite sushi restaurant after a long time, and we were pleasantly surprised that the staff still remembered us and our custom orders for some of our regular dishes. The service was quick and professional from start to finish. We’ll definitely be visiting again soon! September 22, 2023 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Back at our cherished sushi spot, we noticed that it was quite busy on this particular Friday night. There were only two tables available for most of our visit, but I must commend the staff for their efficiency. The service was impeccable as always, and the food was simply delicious. What makes our visits even more special is the fact that they remember our unique preferences, adding a personal touch to the experience. September 16, 2023 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We revisited our favorite sushi spot, and true to form, every dish was exceptionally delicious. Our love for this place just keeps growing stronger. September 8, 2023 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Yet another delightful dinner at this establishment, and it never falls short of perfection. The food was flawlessly prepared and incredibly delicious, as usual. The customer service consistently exceeds expectations. I indulged in my all-time favorite, the mango salad. Without a doubt, this has solidified its place as my preferred sushi destination. September 1, 2023 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We went to the all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant once more, and I can't express how incredible the food is. This place is undoubtedly one of my top sushi spots. I strongly suggest trying the Mango Salad; it's an absolute must-try! August 18, 2023 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We decided to have dinner at Sushi & Maki Japanese Cuisine. The restaurant impressed us with its cleanliness and a wide range of seating choices. They provide customers with the flexibility of ordering from the menu or going for the all-you-can-eat option. Opting for the latter, we were pleased to find a diverse selection of dishes spread across the tables. Despite not having a particular affinity for seafood, I was pleasantly surprised by the ample non-seafood options available. Among the dishes, the Mango Salad was a standout, capturing my palate so much that I couldn't resist going for seconds. While the beef teriyaki rolls were undeniably delicious, their larger size made them a bit delicate and prone to falling apart. The Cheese Wonton proved to be a delightful treat, and I concluded my dining experience with a serving of chocolate ice cream and a crispy deep-fried bun. All in all, the meal went beyond my expectations. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that the restroom facilities were also maintained in a remarkably clean condition.

Good weekday lunch selection for their AYCE, they even offer sashimi! Some of the fish tasted a little too fishy for my liking but otherwise everything else was good and service was pretty quick.

Excellent customer service right from the entrance. Welcome greeting and fast seating (not rushed). Restaurant is a little on the smaller side, but there was seating available. We did the AYCE, food came out prompt and hot, empty dishes were cleared very quickly. All of the dishes ordered were delicious from the Mango salad to the deep fried bun and everything in between. The only suggestion would be to have glass of water while being seated and to have while dining to cleanse palate, and maybe a few extra napkins. Will definitely return. Great first time impression.

I’ve been going to Sushi and Maki for the past 8 years and can only say good things about this place. The food has always been great and the people working in the restaurant are very attentive and so kind. Even over the years the price increases with the portions have been extremely reasonable in comparison to other sushi places in Durham. Thank you Sushi and Maki for staying consistent and keeping me well fed through both High School and University!

Had a great meal and experience visiting Sushi Maki for the first time. Service was amazing from a big hello when we walked in, to a delicious bento box that tasted fresh and tasty to a grateful goodbye on the way out! Will be back for sure when we come back to Ajax!

I have been coming here for four years and I recommend the spicy salmon roll. My wife is vegan and she really enjoyed the vegetable bento box - the bento box is fully vegan except for the miso soup. I tried the items in the bento box and they were all delicious. Highly recommend for vegans and vegetarians looking for delicious tofu options.

My go to place for comfort and delicious food. Sushi & Maki is consistent with the quality of their menu items, service and prices. Prices are fair. Food is fresh. Service is quick and polite. I usually order for pick up. I used to live in Markham and after moving to Ajax I lamented that there’s no restaurants here. I was relieved when I discovered Sushi & Maki.
